Latest ICD Firmware?

I am confused what firmware version is the latest to use. The CCS says:-

Last Update (Firmware): 1.39/2.09

And there are 2 files in the PICC directory.

icdfirmware-01-39.fw
icd-images-firmware-02-09.fw

What is the difference between the 2 files and benefit of using over the other one?

When I opt to update the firmware from ICD.EXE, it only picks version 1.39 but not 2.09. If 2.09 has reason to use, then how do I update it?
