LCD in blank
PostPosted: Sat May 31, 2003 5:41 am     Reply with quote

Hi everybody!
I have trying to work with a LCD (Fuji FCS2314AK) but I can't get the black matrix dots when power up. I think it's a problem of the contrast.
The power supply (Vcc pin 13) it's 5V, the ground pin (GND pin 12 and GND1 pin 15) are connected to ground, and what I think it's the contrast pin (Vee pin 14) has a fixed resitor that gives it 2,5V.
The LCD has been given to me and I haven't found good documentation about the display. Does anybody know where I can find documentation? Does anybody know which levels use to work? because I dont want to try it experimentally and burn the LCD.

Thank you in advance

Try to connect the contrast pin to GND (but keep in mind that there are some LCD panels typically for extended temperature range where a negative voltage is required for contrast control). That resistor is typically 10-47kOhm so this shortcut couldn't be a damage to the LCD panel.
