PostPosted: Thu May 26, 2005 9:20 am     Reply with quote

Hi

mny question today is the following:
i am trying to get input from the user using Hyperterminal is it possible..??

my program goes something like this

#include <16f877a.h>
#device ICD=TRUE
#fuses HS,NOLVP,NOWDT,PUT, NOPROTECT
#use delay(clock=20000000)
#use rs232(baud=9600, xmit=PIN_C6, rcv=PIN_C7)
while(TRUE) {

printf("\r\nPlease type (b) for board or (o) for onboard LED's");
a=getch();

if (a=='b') {

printf("\r\nWise Choice Son");
delay_ms(100);
.........etc

Now, i wanted to get from the user a (Char), but with hyperterminal i CAN'T type anything to the screen ...
so what is wrong with my procedure or what am i missing or is it right to use hyperterminal to get data from the user..

thank you very Much
