Install CCSC and MPLAB v6.20
PostPosted: Fri Apr 18, 2003 2:59 pm     Reply with quote

Hello,

I stepped from MPLAB 5.x to MPLAB 6.20, but I can't install the PCM compiler properly under v6.20! First, I installed MPLAB v6.20 and then I installed the CCS pluggin. The compiler is listed in MPLAB, but I get an error every time I try to compile my project. This is the version of my compiler:

CCS PCM C Compiler, Version 3.054, 12883

Does anyone knows how to install it properly?
Thanks!

You didn't say what the error was but if it is about +EA then
goto build options> CCS Compiler choose use alternate settings and edit out +EA. I just ignore the Compiler is too old message that you get when you do this.
Only a few things are ever tested by MicroChip before general release so I just expect lots of bugs.
Anyway since the MPLAB IDE is free they are at least not charging for their bugs.
