bug in PCH .DLL (Version 3.149)
PostPosted: Sat Mar 29, 2003 8:05 am     Reply with quote

If I use the newest version of PCH (3.149) and MPLAB 6.13 the compiler hangs with a PCH.DLL error.
If I downgrade to Version 3.148 everything works fine. What is wrong?

I have had to roll back to the 3.148 too. 3.149 compiler crashes while compiling. I reported it and am awaiting a resolution

I reported this a few days ago as well... they sent me an updated dll... but going back to 3.148 worked fine too.

In my case it would hang when generating a legitimate error (i.e. a bug in my code), but when the error was corrected it seemed to fix the problem (I didn't however know that there was a typo until I reverted back and got the error).

Did the updated dll work for you? For me it didn't, so I keep using 3.148 for now.

Yes, it did work for me. Perhaps there are a variety of nuances that are only partially fixed.

Interestingly, if I open the IDE (which I rarely use), and do "help->about" I get
PCB 3.49
PCM 3.49
PCH 3.50
