Low Clock for a PIC16F767-I/SO
PostPosted: Wed Aug 11, 2004 1:41 pm     Reply with quote

it says on the lower power mod is can use "(XT,RC oscillator, 76ua, 1Mhz, 2V)"

What will happend if I run the interal clock at 1mhz vs a external 1mhz CR?

I recall a post saying that the external would require less current. Anyone agree?

Also who makes a 1mhz CR? I searched mouser.com and I did get any 1mhz CRs, but they have the pic. Any ideas?

I don't know what the internal RC clock max freq is, but you should be able to find that out.

DigiKey has the 1MHz Ceramic Resonators for 68 cents - part# X926-ND

RC will use more current that CR, but I don't know what the breakeven point is - If you find out, please let us know...
