problems with reinstall the CCS
PostPosted: Thu Aug 05, 2004 2:48 am     Reply with quote

I had a problem in the computer and the MPLAB IDE will not find the file "name.cof". I had to install the MPLAB6.1, CCS-PCM and the MPLAB plug-in.
But now I have problems with programs that use interruptions and RS232 ports. I saw all the possible configurations and I seem that he is all equal one to that had previously.
My programmer is a PICSATART Plus firmware 3.11.0
Somebody can help me

Carlos

Not without a better understanding of what EXACTLY the problem is. Maybe the problem is the code. Did you install the same compiler version? By the way, what is the compiler version? Post a simple example of an interrupt with RS232 program that doesn't work.

Thank you Mark.

My compiler version is 3.187 PCM CCS
I think that the problem is related with the previous attempt to install MPLAB 6.60 that it needed an update in harware of the PICSTART Plus.

The problem is not in the code, because before it worked well
Code:

#USE RS232(BAUD=9600, XMIT=PIN_B1, RCV=PIN_B0, STREAM=COM_A, ERRORS)
//...
#int_ext
void ext_isr()
{
 cmd=fgetc(COM_A);
 cmd=toupper(cmd);
 fputc(cmd, COM_A);

}
