Bootloader from theByteFactory

Anyone have experience using it. I have the basic bootloader working, but can't get my code to run. The only mods I made to my code was to eliminate my orginal fuse statement. Is there something else I need to do?

This bootloader seems to be pretty big, what is everyone else using for thier 16F873A and 3-wire RS232 interface?

The latest compiler release has this in the readme .

I have no idea how good the included bootloader is but it is supported by CCS.

The bootloader fuses need to closely match the fuses you eliminated in your application code. If the bootloader fuses are very much different you might want to set them to the same as your application fuses and recompile CodeLoader. That bootloader is a little bigger because it is written in CCS PIC-C and has no helper application on the PC. You can always reduce the footprint be eliminating some functionality; for instance the ability to modify data EEPROM. Happy PIC'n
