4-digit 7-segment LED overlapping [Solved]
PostPosted: Sun May 03, 2020 8:26 am     Reply with quote

Hi everyone,
I am working on displaying number and text with a 4-digit 7 segment LED.
The PIC is 16F877A; the 7-segment led part number is 5641BS.
My problem is the LED can display the correct number, but it shows on all 4 places and the numbers are overlapping. Now I'm trying just to make it display at the position I want but no luck. Could you please give some suggestions?
Here is my code for this situation. I use port C to transfer data and port D to control the which LEDs will turn on.

Thank you very much for your time.

List the connections between the 16F877 and the 5641BS.

Thank you for your suggestion. I already checked the pin connection, I made a wrong connection on the IDC cable pin out. Now everything works fine.
