Clock frequency change
PostPosted: Tue Feb 10, 2004 9:01 am     Reply with quote

Hello,

I am currently running a PIC16f877-20/P at 20MHz. I am using the pic to generate a PWM output. The minimium PWM output frequency is too high running at 20MHz so I would like to change this to 4MHz. Can I simply change the clock oscillator and code to change this or do I need to get a PIC16f877-4/P?

The -20 specifies the maximum rated operating frequency.
