Reset problem in dsPIC33ep512mu810
PostPosted: Thu Aug 15, 2019 3:13 am     Reply with quote

I am using dsPICc33ep512mu810 to control two ac servo drives. Everything works good. Sometimes if i press reset button the controller stops the job but hangs. I have to press the reset button 2 to 3 times to reset again. this happens around 1 in 4 to 5 resets. Kindly give solution.

Please post which 'ac servo drive' units you're using.

Some possible( not all...) reasons are
1)noisey 'reset' PB hardware. Without seeing your schematic, it could be contact bounce' or bad levels.

2) the 'ac servo drive' may have certain level/timing parameters that aren't being met.

3) marginal power supply

4) poor EMI protection

5) bad PCB layout/ component choices.
