| ICP problems |

I use ICD-U40 for ICP. Works correct with 18f454. But I cannot make it working with 18f252,242. Does anybody tried to make ICP with this devices? Probably there are some specialities. I have no hardware connection error, all is correct connected. But got error like this "If device ID is correct probably there internal error of micro controller" by ICD programming.
Are there any differences in ICP of 18f252,242? Does anybody had problem with 18f252,242 ICP programming? Works it at all?

| Ah_ forgot. mC works perfect. I programmed it with normal programmer and it works supper. but why ICD doesnt do.... no ideas |

FWIW,
I am using the ICDU40 with 18F242 and 18F252 with no problems. |

Examine your MCLR circuit. Too much capacitance or impedance will cause problems. |

I did all correct_ like on shema that you gave but I still got error diring ICP "Unknown PIC12/16 device- ID 31BF. If ID is valid then make sure that algorithm inside chipedit is set correctly"
Does anybody got such error?
I check MCLR. Works.
