ICD1 upgrade
PostPosted: Mon Apr 05, 2004 10:28 am     Reply with quote

Hi all,
I vaguely remember reading on here that you can upgrade a Microchip ICD 1 by replacing the PIC16LF876 with a PIC18LF252 and increasing the clock frequency (replacing the crystal). The 16LF876 is hard to find without going to Microchip direct.

Does anyone have the firmware I need to load into the 18LF252 to allow this to work, and what crystal do I need 40MHz?

I’ve tried searching but can’t find the original post I read about this. Can anyone help?

Keep well,

Will
