How can I power the target from an ICD-U40?
PostPosted: Thu Feb 12, 2004 9:07 am     Reply with quote

Hello to all,
I would like to measure the power consumption of my target board, but the ICD-U40 is getting more than 20mA for itself.
I thought that this ICD doesn't get any current from your board, only need to sense the voltage to detect 3.3 or 5V chips, is that true?
Besides, the specifications of the ICD-U40 say that it can even power your target, does anybody know how? I have seen a jumper inside the ICD, but I haven’t found any information of its purpose.
Any help will be appreciated,
Adolfo.

The jumper you refer to does indeed enable the target to be powered from the ICD-U40.
