GPS NEEDS a clear 'line of sight', so a metal roof kills the signals. The only way around that is to put GPS + HC-12 outside and transmit to the PIC time project.

HI temtronic,
I tested many days that RF link easy to use module :
robokits RKI-1197 ... it worked about 2 or 4 hours now and then ... but then it tried to RX and TX same time ...
and sure there was any communication anymore between RX and TX.... !
... maybe some error checking because there's lot of signals in the air all the time ... but I don't know how ...
... I think RF communication is very complicated if we try to avoid data errors ?
I wonder if HC-12 works better ?
any idea ?

Maybe some error checking because there's lot of signals in the air all the time, but I don't know how.

The basic simple way is just to add a checksum.
Transmit more frequently than you need.
Simply test the checksum, and reject the packet if it isn't right. |
