Yeah I might have to go that route for the master controller which is the one that will run out of IOs. So far the remotes are doing fine on the IOs on the 773.

I think I actually have one of the LTC1298s around here somewhere. I'll have to dig it out and give it a try.

:=Just a thought for the ADC, and keepng I/O requirements low, you could add a SPI driven ADC I remember the CCS examples have code already made for the LTC1298 12 bit ADC.

what we do in school is that we use a 74hc138 for the address decoder and then we use 74hc244 if we need an input and a 74hc373 if we need an output... 'coz 74hc373 is a latch, so, it will hold the value till a new one arrives... Very Happy just a thought....
