UART Transmission Inquiry

Is it posible to do this: I have an external serial eeprom say 24lc256 in I2C protocol.... once the data stored is half the content of the eeprom capacity it will initiate a transfer to a computer host using rs232? of course a software is running at the host computer that will receive the data.. btw, plan to implement this on pic16xx or pic18452.

Im sure somebody has done tis method... a sample code will help.

Its very possible and quite easy. Look at the examples on using the serial eeproms and also look at the help file for information on the #user rs232 directive. This should get you started.
