MachX and MPLAB
PostPosted: Sun Jan 31, 2010 9:40 pm     Reply with quote

Hey Guys, just getting started in the PIC dev world and had some questions. I can't seem to get my MachX Programmer to be recognized within the MPLAB software. When I goto the drop down the selection for it isn't there.

I searched the forums but didn't find a topic on it, so if this is a duplicate post, my apologies.

Edit: I have the driver installed for the programmer, and the CCSLoad Application sees it just fine.

New to it myself...

Hi Bonz099 - I'm new to the CCS experience myself, but I've been programming PICs for a long, LONG time.

From what I gather the CCS programmers/debuggers only work with the CCS environment, not MPLAB. There is a way to tell MPLAB what kinds of debugging devices it can use, and the order they are listed, but I can't remember how to do it.

If you want to use MPLAB, use Microchip programmers/debuggers.

Hope this helps.
