Device not found
PostPosted: Wed Apr 30, 2025 12:12 pm     Reply with quote

I just updated my PCM to the latest version but the Devices list did not update.
I renamed the PICC folder and installed from setup_download.exe. I also installed the MPLAB plugin.
Now the Devices folder has the newer device but the MPLAB Project Wizard appears to still see the one in the re-named OLD PICC folder.

Any suggestions?

I just contacted Microchip and they told me MPLAB is no longer supported and I should use MPLAB-X
I tried MPLAB-X years ago when it first came out and found it confusing and could not get it working.

Has anyone else run into the problem I described. The 16F18877 is in the .h file.
Where does the MPLAB project wizard find the devices? Is it an MPLAB problem or a CCS problem????? HELP
