Trying to understand the Snapshot function in the debugger menu. Specifically the peripherals. I checked this box but get nothing about peripherals in the file.

I don't think the CCS IDE, has a 'snapshot' feature. So I suspect you
are talking about a feature of the MPLAB X IDE?. IN which case you need
to ask on the MPLAB forums not here.

This CCS webpage does list Snapshot as being a feature of the debugger:

Fair enough. I don't remember ever coming across it in the CCS IDE.
I note it says you can select what it is to record. Presumably this is meant to
be controlled by the tick boxes being referred to. 'Peripherals', is actually
an odd thing to talk about, since these are just registers.
