This program puts 0x55, 0xAA in the first two locations of data eeprom:
Code:

#include <18F4620.h>
#fuses INTRC_IO, NOWDT
#use delay(clock=4M)

#rom int8 getenv("EEPROM_ADDRESS") = {0x55, 0xAA}

//===================================
void main()
{

while(1);
}

Compile this program and then look at the EEprom window in MPLAB.
You will see those two values in the window.
