Timer and Interrupts

Hello,

My name is Guido and I am new to the world of programming pic; I need help regarding the use of timers and interrupts. Specifically, how can I do 2 lights flickering at a frequency of 1 Hz using just the timer and interrupt and using a 4 MHz oscillator?

Here is a simple example of using Timer1 to blink an LED at approx. 1 Hz:
