Bluetooth programming -- through uart
PostPosted: Mon Nov 29, 2010 10:00 am     Reply with quote

Hi all
I have pic18F4550 development board on which on uart port I have plugged in a bluetooth hardware.
http://www.rhydolabz.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=479

I want to now send receive some data from any other bluetooth device.

Please tell me how and where to start with... I am totally new in it.

My doubts are:

I have read bluetooth devices interact through AT commands set and read bluetooth basic theory, like how bluetooth device do frequency hopping in a frequency band.

But I want to know will I have to guide my bluetooth device to do all freq hopping thing, address recognition... through AT commands.

Actually if anyone can point me to right link document website which can teach me how to write bluetooth driver through uart, it will be very kind.

Didn't the bluetooth dongle come with a manual specifying all of it's commands?

The link you supplied for the bluetooth device says it came with manual and AT command reference set. That's all you need, a little reading and a little bit of coding. You might want to google that module to see whats out on the Web...
