doubts regarding MRF24J40MA module
PostPosted: Thu Sep 22, 2011 9:07 pm     Reply with quote

Hi,

I need some clarification here regarding the use of the MRF24J40MA wireless module.

1. When the value of RXMCR is changed during initialisation, packets cannot be transmitted. Also the value of RXMCR when read is incorrect. Why is this ??, should RXMCR be changed ? or left to its default value ??

2. I have not setup interrupts, will polling for RXIF bit in ISRTS register be set to 1 ??

3. The RXIF bit is set whenever I transmit a packet, is it OK for the module to receive its own packet ??, is this normal operation ??

I use the ZENA network analyser to check if packets are transmitted, the transmission works OK, but when RXMCR is changed during setup it does not.

thanks
a
