PIC18F458 and CAN
PostPosted: Mon Mar 31, 2003 5:03 am     Reply with quote

I designed a project before where I have used the PIC16F877 and the MCP2510 CAN controller.

Now I need to do another project and I want to use the PIC18F458 which has CAN built in.

My questions are as follows:

Can I use the exact same CAN driver as is written for the CAN18CXX8.C, CAN18CXX8.h? I asume so but need to get an answer.

Does the CAN controller on the PIC18F458 have the same problems as listed for the MCP2510 (according to erratra sheet) ?

Thanks

Well, this can be found by using the search function of
the board (of course, I also knew it was there).

Couldn't that answer be found by comparing the two errata
sheets:
