compile and program in one step?
PostPosted: Sat Apr 26, 2008 6:37 pm     Reply with quote

Does anyone know if it is possible to compile and Program Chip (ICD) in the same step (one hotkey)?

In MPLAB, there is a setting that allows the target to be programmed after a successful build and I am looking for the same functionality in the CCS IDE.

now I hit the F9, wait, and hit the F12 (that I have assigned to ICD).
would be convenient to build and go in one step!

thanks!

Jeffrey, I do this all the time. After the 1st compile (after starting the ide), I open the debugger. The top line in the "Debug Configure" window gives you the option of "Compile Reload (TRUE/FALSE). Once set to TRUE, subsequent compiles automatically reload.

I'm a little late here - just saw your post. Hope this helps.

Ken
