Stopwatch timer while running ICD2
PostPosted: Thu Jan 18, 2007 2:55 pm     Reply with quote

Im a relatively new user to the ICD2 and have a couple of questions. I would like to do some stopwatch timing during PIC runtime to measure times between certain onchip events. I have used this feature in SIM, but do not see any features available while using the ICD2.

Is the best option in obtaining timing data to use onboard timers and display the results??? Are there any built in stopwatch features available while using the ICD2??

If a firmware stopwatch using timers is the best solution, does anyone have some efficient code with minimal overhead setup??

The obvious solution would be to use an output signal from the PIC and measure on the scope. Just like my comfy seat here at the computer, what have you all used to perform similar operations??

Thanks
