I know that this is not PIC but looking for info on iTips

The current tip that I have cut open is for an Nokia and the output voltage is 5V.
Now looking for information on the two resistors inside.
I would like to change the voltage output to 8V at 500mA.
Which resistor changes the voltage and which one changes the current limiting?
Making the resistors value small will that increase the voltage output or will increase the value increase the voltage?
Same question for the current?

Is there a Patent number on them you can look up?

If all else fails ,experiment.
