reading code from a chip using icd-u40
PostPosted: Tue Sep 19, 2006 3:01 pm     Reply with quote

I'm using an ICD-U40 and pchw 4.005.
I'm using the bootloader from "the byte factory" but it takes so long to load code into a chip using it. I would like to program the bootloader, then use it to load the real code, then download that image from the pic and save it so I can use the icd to load more chips in much less time.
1) should this work?
2) I don't see an option anywhere to read the code from the chip, am I missing it somewhere?

I'm using a pic 18f452.
Thanks
Ringo
