Simple questions about BRGH1OK ....
PostPosted: Fri Jun 20, 2008 1:17 pm     Reply with quote

Dear members,

I've read this in the ccs manual...

Quote:

BRGH1OK
Allow bad baud rates on chips that have baud rate problems.

Some parts have internal bugs with BRGH set to 1 and the compiler will not use this unless you specify BRGH1OK in the #USE RS232 directive.

Which pic have a bugged hardware UART ?

Do they have fixed the problem ?

I use very often the following pic 18F2550,18F2553,18F4550,18F4553
and some PIC24 and dsPIC30/33...

Do they have problems with the BRGH1OK rs-232 option?

Do microchip have a list of bugged devices that has a bug with BRGH1OK?

A little worried guy,

Regards,

thank's!

This is even more complete...

http://www.microchip.com/stellent/idcplg?IdcService=SS_GET_PAGE&nodeId=2045

Complete silicon errata list... there's a lot of errata!!

Do microchip perform revision of their pic without changing the numbering system ?

Or they just leave it like that because they have «workarounds» ?

Have a nice day!

Laurent
