RB5/PGM, 18F452, ICD2 and ICSP
PostPosted: Tue Jul 11, 2006 11:59 am     Reply with quote

Hi,

I am new to ICD2, I use for programming (ICSP) 18F452. I can program, verify, erase fine so I think I got ICD2 right!...The PIC is running good with couple of Steppers and a DC to drive and few sensors. Except the pin RB5/PGM.

I cannot get RB5 to work right!. I did a simple output_high to test, still it didnot work!. Is any there anything I have to do extra for this pin to work?.

I actually want this pin to work as an input.

While programming
I have :
1- MCLR
2- Vdd
3- Vss
4- PGD/RB7
5- PGC/RB6
6- Not Connected.

My fuses are:
Code:
#fuses HS, PUT, BROWNOUT, NOWDT, NOLVP, NOCPD, NOPROTECT, NOWRT

Plase help,
Thanks
PCM programmer

This problem probably doesn't have anything to do with the ICD2.
You should post this question in the main forum.
http://www.ccsinfo.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=1
When you do that, post a very small test program that demonstrates the
problem. Show all #include, #use, and #fuses statements.
Post a complete program, not code fragments. Also, describe the
external components and circuits that you have connected to pin B5.
But do this in the main forum.
