EEPROM question
PostPosted: Thu Sep 02, 2004 4:17 pm     Reply with quote

I have just ordered three eeprom, but they are not working the same as the my original one

The original is a 24LC32a I/P 82D compared to a new 24LC32a I/P 11S,

I have the datasheet
http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/DeviceDoc/21713d.pdf

But I dont see anything about that they work differently. Maybe I got a bad batch? I'm pretty confused right now. I cant read and write to it. When I try it crashes the pic, but if the original chip is in there, it works great.

BLAH, I just purchased the new compiler, and its the compiler is screwing up. The old compiler works... what a deal. I paid 140 for a bug that cost me the entire day.

I wish CCS would at least post known bugs before their next release...
I am glad they post BETA's because how else are they going to test it without a bunch of users?

even though I'm pissed I lost a day, the compiler has saved me a lot more time than that. Im just glad they make a good compiler. I dont like the idea I only get bug updates for one month.
