Help! USB with PIC and Cypress EZ-USB

hi there!

i'm new on usb - programming and i like to use the cypress ez-usb AN2131 chip with my pic 18f458!
but i have no idea how to do this! can someone help me to write a source for the pic and for windows (visual basic)!!!!?? the only thing i like to do i some simple i/o's

I don't know if you want to here this or not.... for my 2 cents worth

FTDI builds a USB to serial device. IT IS GREAT. easy to set up, runs great and has sample code for the PC programming. and has direct and virtual drivers.

VERY EASY.

If you have a simple project. USE THIS DEVICE!!

A RS232 bridge is not always the answer. You can't build a joystick, mouse or a keyboard using such a bridge.

Get the CCS USB dev kit. It has a number of simple examples. At least this way you do not also have to cope with hardware issues while you are learning USB.
