Not on topic, so apologies, but does any one know where I might get the TC74 in surface mount, 3.3V, in the UK? And don't say Farnell, Arrow, etc cos I've tried all them.
Or even, in the States? In stock, rather than 17 weeks lead time!!!
I'm after 1 to 5 off now but 100 by Jan and 1000 summer 05....
Or, is there a more widely available I2C temp part?

The LM34 from National Semiconductor is commonly used, but it uses A/D. As for the TC74, if it's not too late, why don't you go to the TO-220 package?
I've had to give up on trying to source Maxim parts just because of the 4 month lead times on some parts, and go instead to discrete multi-component solutions all because of availability issues.

I used the TMP100 from Texas. Farnell have stock of these, and Texas themselves will send sample quantities directly. Works down to 2.7v.
