TCP/IP & GPRS
PostPosted: Fri Jul 30, 2004 8:30 am     Reply with quote

Hi Group,

I need to find out how much code space and RAM will be needed on a PIC 18f252 for a TCP/IP stack like the one Micrchip offers or the Jeremy Bentham code (TCP/IP LEAN) if I need the following features:

1) PPP (LCP, PAP and IPCP)
2) DHCP Client
3) ICMP
4) TCP
5) UDP
6) DNS

I will be connecting my device using a Siemens XT55 GPRS modem.

Help will be highly appreciated.

Best Wishes,

Aaron
Mark

I do not believe DNS is supported.

Thanks Mark, I should have put the note that DNS is desired but I can live with out it.

Anybody has a ball-park idea regarding FLASH and RAM requirements for the TCP/IP functions listed (bar DNS) ????
