Hi All,

I am been asked to make a liquid stirer for bakery.

I have managed to produce the software element BUT

requirement is:

stir once
wait a minute
go back round

My question is (driver used to control MOTOR)

If I use a relay the life of the realy will dimish very quickly due repeated
switching

If I use a ULN2803 the noise generated will corrupt PIC operation

CAN ANYONE HELP??

Use an SSR.
There are two basic 'types' One only switches AC (uses a thyristor or triac as the switching element), the other can handle DC (uses a mosfet - normally a pair wired as a bilateral switch).
These provide opto-isolation between the control signal and the signal being controlled.
Omron, and Crydom are the two largest manufacturers of these modules.
The AC switching types are generally cheaper for a given rating.
