16F767 device programmer
PostPosted: Wed Mar 31, 2004 9:53 am     Reply with quote

Hi all

I want to programme the 16F767 chip but my Warp13 Redback version 10a programmer does not list it.
It may be time to buy a new programmer - so can anyone recommend a programmer which will program the above without breaking the bank!!
Thanks.

I'm quite happy with microEngineering Labs "serial programmer" at http://www.melabs.com/products/serprog.htm

You'll find the 16F767 on their list.

It uses the 9-pin serial port and is forward compatible in time via a USB-to-serial adapter. It's fast, has great customer support, immediate updates as new Microchip products come out, software and firmware update via web, and is available for reduced prices at Glitchbuster http://www.glitchbuster.com/

My implementation of this programmer is at http://www.vermontficks.org/pic.htm

Highly recommended.

Warp13A update
PostPosted: Wed Mar 31, 2004 11:54 am     Reply with quote

Have you tried going to the Newfound web site?? The Warp13a firmware is currently at version 11f which is significantly later than what you have. They have been always been great with support and about responding to update requests!

http://www.newfoundelectronics.com/default.htm

If you require a firmware update they are very reasonable ($6 from www.phanderson.com).

Depending on what I am doing I use both the Warp13A and the ICDU40 from CCS.
