ligth a triack

Hello
I want to ligth a triack. what I want to do is to sample the phase input an give a short pulse avry half cycle to ligth the triack in different positions
does anyone have something ready?

Is this for a lamp dimming application?

If so, all you need to do is get some form of zero crossing detector, and start a timer/delay running when you have a zero crossing transition. When the timer/delay is finished, you can turn the triac on.
