 Is this true? Which family?
 I have never experienced this.

				| I know you can put a 16C84 into a Picstart+, wrong(180*_ and when you do it PROPERLY, it'll program just fine and work....... Since today's PIC are really ,really,really tiny, I suspect any EMI bad enough to destroy a single I/O pin, would take out the entire PIC
