Microchip partner sales portal
PostPosted: Mon Feb 08, 2021 9:50 am     Reply with quote

Can someone tell me what this is?
A link came unsolicited to myself and a friend.
Microchip is impossible to contact.
Is this a scam? I'm afraid to open it.
Do not open if you don't know what it is.

It's a 'portal' for 3rd party companies. Say you make 'widgets' using PICs. You're not the end user or Microchiip....but rather an OEM or R&D firm.
I have no need to be part of the 'portal' as I'm already registered with Microchip and get free samples....
It 'might' be a way to get 'noticed' by companies wanting your services ? Then again isn't that what Google searching does ??? Smile

I think I got the same email this weekend. I treated it the same way I treat all emails which get me wondering "what is this and why did they contact me?": [delete].

I did the same.
I'm already registered on their system for samples etc., so considered
it one to ignore....

Thanks everyone. That explains it.
They could have done a better job of advertising instead of sending something that smelled of scam.
