PostPosted: Wed Feb 14, 2018 1:21 am     Reply with quote

Hi,

I am currently using PIC 18F452 with CCS C Compiler v5.025. This is showing only one hardware breakpoint is available in MPLAB IDE v8.7. But I know in PIC18F452 three hardware breakpoint is there, but I dn't know how to configure it. Please help me.

Thank you.

You need to ask on an MPLAB forum. It is this that is handling the breakpoints for you.

However I have to ask where you get the idea this chip has 3 hardware breakpoints?.

The 'bible' for this is:
Code:

http://www.microchip.com/mymicrochip/filehandler.aspx?ddocname=en585628

and this says the 18F452 has just one hardware breakpoint. The debugger does say 'most' PIC 18's have 3, but the 452, is a very early PIC18, and only has one. The 4520, is the more modern replacement with 3.
