Load-n-Go queries
PostPosted: Wed Feb 17, 2010 10:18 am     Reply with quote

Hi, I would like to buy one. Can someone give me some answers.

1. Can the Load-n-Go be able to program the flash, EEPROM and configuration fuses independently?

eg1. Program just flash and configuration fuses only?

eg2. Program just flash only?

eg3. Program just configuration fuses only?

eg4. Program just EEPROM only?

eg5. Program flash, configuration fuses and EEPROM?

2. Is there a verify function?

3. How long does it take to program a hex file? eg. 64KB

4. Is it reliable?

Thank you.

Hi,
The Load-n-Go does all what you need, the only problem is that it doesn't do it when you want it!!!

I never had so many problems than with this device.

Example, today I changed the setting to program the EEPROM (I was not programming it before). result: it programs, no error, excepted that the micro does not start after programming!!!

And it is not a problem of EEPROM programming: the micro used doesn't have an EEPROM...

Anyway, I think I'll give up with this tool, I have been trying to use it for 1 year, and there is a new bug for each software upgrade...

Good luck,
Franck.

Hi,

Thanks for replying. I bought one about a month ago and using V4.023 CCSLOAD, I had no problems programming the flash memory and EEPROM of 18F6720 and 18F2620 using battery and dc supply in turn.

I haven't tried programming just the flash only, so, I'm not sure whether it will work.

For people who haven't used it before, the unit needs power (from battery or dc supply) and the target chip also needs a separate power supply.

For me, so far so good.

A picture of the screen where you enable and disable the programming options.
