Problems with ICD2
PostPosted: Tue Apr 08, 2003 2:04 am     Reply with quote

Hi programmers

I've got a problem with my ICD2, connected to the PC by USB. Well, let me explain:
I can't debug my target(PIC18F252) with the ICD2. When I try to step though the code, MPLAB 6.13 shows me, on which line the execution should be, but.... in fact, nothing happens. No registers are set, while(1)-loops have no effect,....
I'm not shure if all this happens 'cause my CCS-Compiler is too old (V3.11).

Does anybody have similar problems or does someone have any ideas how I can make my ICD2 working right?

I found this in the change file:

3.131 The COD file has been updated for compatibility with MPLAB 6

So yours may be a little too old.
As I recall from the Early days before, I could debug the assembly code from the program memory window but not the source.

Whoops, I lied...a little...

3.089 ICD-2 support has been added

But I suspect that was for MPLAB 5
