dsPIC and PCD question

I've just gotten my project to a proof of concept stage, using a PIC18F25j10, but could use alot more memory, as well as make things run alot faster.

There is plenty of room for optimization of my code, but I'm also starting to think that a dsPIC might better suit my needs. Reading the posts I've found about PCD and all of the bugs, I get the feeling that its definitely not as polished and stable as PCH.

Are there certain chips that are more stable than others? Can anyone recommend one over another on the basis of compiler stability alone?

I aggree with not as polished. Not stable isn't probably the right term. The compiler obviously has some bugs, the chips are performing fine, as far as I could check. And I expect that the code is running stable when you have managed to tell the compiler your intentions and avoided some existing traps. Most current PCD limitations are related to the dsPIC/24x 16-Bit device family in general, I think, some to specific chips. I'm generally missing a list of supported/unsupported features, or did I overlook something?
