PIC18F452 C program

Hello,
I have not used C programming in about 2 years, but need to switch over to it because some of the problems I'm encountering in assembly are beyond my knowledge. I cannot figure out how to program this formula in C and was wondering if anyone could help. Here it is

500(Vout-.25)/3.75

where Vout is a variable that is determined by the A to D in the PIC mentioned in the subject. I am using the Fosc/8 conversion mode.

All you need is:

x = 500 * (Vout-0.25)/3.75;
