I did. Several times. But I kept getting the same version of the file.

On a hunch, I tried downloading via IE instead of Firefox, and I got the updated version. I dunno what the deal was... Maybe Firefox was just feeding me a cached version of the file instead of re-downloading it.

I probably should also have tried exiting from Firefox and reopening it, too.

At any rate, now I've got it installing.

I did the download with firefox just fine..trying multiple times....
I think its just a timing thing.. you needed to wait for the new file
to be inplace.

I think the whole new download system, looks to be the basis of a real 'pain'...
Have tried pulling the download manager twice. Each one behaves the same. Starts downloading, says xxxMB (9.8MB total). Counts up to 39.2MB transferred!. Then tried to run the program updates, and crashes with incorrect file sizes.
Oh well, I'll try again, then report it.

Best Wishes

Is there any way we can get an add/remove comments option in the editor.

I miss highlighting a section of code and having the editor able to put in // in the first col.

To install your beta:
1. download the newest version of the download manager from the website
2. Install the download manager into a NEW directory. (ie c:/Program Files/PICC_BetaV4/)
3. Install the beta *.crg files into the SAME new directory as the download manager
4. Run the download manager, and download/install the beta release into the SAME new directory as the download manager

This is what I have seen work. If there are any other issues, please conatct tech support.

There seems to be some problems with some UK downloads. This problem is being looked at and I hope there will be a solution soon.

Yes it works. Follow "Guest" advice 2 up from here. I think the trick is the new download manager. Also try different browser.

Make sure to use Download Manager version 1.4.25.10. This is the current working version of the Download Manager.

Using DM-1.4.25.10. It seems like my verstions never change.
current=3.964 local=3.960 and it wants to do a download.
I download, install, reboot.. but the versions don't change and it wants to
download again. Is my registry screwed up, or something?

I'm having exactly the same 'PCWH - IDE. . . Request for file size timeout.' problem.

I have tried deleting the directory, re-downloading the download manager (twice with different browsers) & re-installing it but no change..

Hurrah!.
At least I am not alone!.
I'm either the one, or one of the people mentioned in the UK,who can't get it to download. In my case, I have tried three different computers, half a dozen different downloads of the download manager, and cannot get the program through any route.
I tried a full IP diagnostic on one machine, and it is complaining of an invalid IP packet for one packet inside the data sent by the download manager, which gets rejected by the London geteway server.
I think the new download manager, shows signs of being a real pain...

What's supposed to be working at this point?
PostPosted: Sat Aug 05, 2006 7:49 pm     Reply with quote

Has anyone been able to use the project wizard? It (and a lot of other things like all the documentation stuff) aren't working in mine. I don't know what is supposed to work and what isn't....

BTW: I finally got the download Mgr to work by going back and deleting everything and installing from scratch again. Don't know what wil happen the next time... Smile
