Reproducing Voice using PIC Micro PWM

Hi ,

I have a requiremement of reproducing voice in my application
Is it possible to play a wave file through PIC Micro PWM

Has any body done this ?

Can somebody throw some light on this?

I've played with it some - fidelity was not as good as I had hoped, but I really didn't give it a full, fair trial. It does work though. I set it up to sample and play back at the same time so I could A-B test it.

Has anybody tried it?

I want to add some voice confirmation to my project (18f252 + multiple 16f818 i2c slaves) so I tested it today. It works indeed but I get a very very weak signal (I can't use an oscilloscope right now so I don't know how 'weak' it is).

I've no idea of audio proccessing so any advice would be welcome Wink

. What do I need to amplify that signal? How much do I have to amplify it? What kind of speaker is suitable to this kind of playback?

You could try an amplified computer speaker.
