Debugging without programming eeprom

How do you get the device to run the debugger without overwriting the eeprom every time? 18F252. Thanks.

In debug, you click "debug config", "ICD program" button (the 4th) (or lauch ICD.EXE?)
Then, in ICD control program (I have V 2.6), you click on "advanced...":
"Erase mode" / "Bulk erase on write" is probably checked, then chek "Erase when needed" ,
click "OK" and close ICD control program
