The SIM800 is meant to use a 4v supply not 5v (3.4 to 4.4v). Beware you are going to have signal level problems....

The 2A is only met during burst mode. Though the supply needs to deliver this for a moment, 1A is a lot for everything else.

Yeah I know about the sim800l, but thanks. About the glcd, I don't know, I will check connections again and try with other protoboard.

Jair, just check the NVM reg control bits 6 & 7 in the watch window before using the glcd functions and then afterwards, I had an issue with another compiler not resetting bit 7 (NVM control reg) to a 1 after an eeprom read/write (compiler bug) , not CCS compiler...the glcd would stop displaying anything after a read write, had to set the bit back manually and everything was fine. Just a thought.
