CanOpen with PIC18F2680

I've seen an old topic from Eric Girard, who said that he had used the
CanOpen stack by Microchip (AN945). Does someone can confirm that
the source given by Microchip is sure and ok for making CanOpen
protocol ? I would want to implement it within a PIC18F2680. Thanks.
